Working With the Media

We are here to help Highline faculty and staff work with the media — reporters and editors from magazines, newspapers, radio, TV and blogs — in responding to questions and garnering attention. If a member of the media contacts you, please email either Josh Gerstman (jgerstman@highline.edu), Vice President for Institutional Advancement, or Jess Underwood (junderwood@highline.edu), Associate Director of Communications and Public Information Officer.

Highline College seeks to work with the media in a fair, friendly and factual manner. As an agency of the state of Washington, Highline subscribes to the principle of the public’s right to know and of full disclosure of official actions. Members of the media, who gather and disseminate information on the public’s behalf, are entitled to full and candid answers to their questions.
